Dealing With Infertility Caused by Obesity.
With the percentage of people in North America who are at an unhealthy weight, it's no surprise that there is an increase of infertility caused by obesity. Currently, six to ten percent of people diagnosed with infertility have obesity to blame for their inability to conceive. But how can one too many drive through stops create such chaos in the body? Studies show that carrying excess weight creates multiple health problems and when you are clinically obese, these problems multiply and become dangerous. Thankfully, infertility caused by obesity is the easiest of all fertility problems to correct. How does obesity affect fertility? Infertility caused by obesity was due to uneven hormone levels in both genders. In a woman this may result in irregular cycles, making her ovulation times unreliable. It may even inhibit her ovulation entirely. In a man, obesity can affect the motility and amount of healthy sperm. His sperm simply may not be able to make the epic journey to his partner's egg in order to successfully conceive. If a woman does become pregnant and is still at an unhealthy weight, her unborn child can be at risk for health problems. Babies who do not get a healthy diet in utero are often born with low birth weights, structural problems and may even be premature. A problem easily solved with a little self discipline Rather than drugs or invasive surgeries, lifestyle changes can make all the difference when a couple is trying to conceive. Get your family and friends involved with your decision to reach a healthy weight. Knowing that you are doing so for the sake of your future family can be the motivation you lacked before. There are many healthy weight loss programs you can join in the community or on line to improve infertility caused by obesity. Dieticians are available over the phone to help you make healthy changes in your daily diet. Exercise will speed your weight loss considerably. Remember to make it entertaining or you may lose interest. Bring a friend or your partner on walks or join exercise classes or groups. If you are not a social exerciser, long solo walks or quiet yoga sessions may be more appealing. Keeping your goals in mind will help you to change your habits. As a parent, you serve as an example for your child and modeling good health will help him or her greatly in the future. Imagine being too tired to play with your toddler and missing out on important bonding moments due to your weight. It's not a happy image but it may inspire you to make positive changes and rectify your infertility caused by obesity.
